In this bonus episode, I spoke with Dr. Tina Bucuvalas, the former director of the Florida Folklife Program & State Folklorist from 1996 to 2009. Dr. Bucuvalas worked with communities across Florida to develope public programs to spotlight Florida’s rich cultural heritage. Her work in Eatonville, Florida is noteworthy as she helped make a case for the town’s addition to the National Register of Historic Places.
